MissionDentistry is constantly changing and my goal is to remain current with this dynamic health profession, which is why I have become a member of the professional societies shown below. With the help of a strong educational background, and participation in local dental societies, I hope to provide the best possible treatment for my patients and promise to be conservative in my presentation of treatment options.
About MeWhile away from the dental office, I have the privilege of spending time with my beautiful wife Kimberly and two wonderful children, Baylie and Kaleb. Together, we enjoy activities that include camping, boating, waterskiing, wakeboarding, golf, skiing and snowboarding.

About MeDr. Ernie Thompson was born in Portland and has lived in Oregon all of his life. He attended Wilson High School in Southwest Portland and went on to college at Brigham Young University. His education was interrupted for two years when he had the opportunity to serve as a missionary in Belgium. He still speaks a little bit of Flemish if prodded.
Upon returning to Brigham Young and after playing Baseball with them for two years before and after his mission, he got married and finished his college education at Portland State University. He then went to dental school graduating from the Oregon Health Sciences University here in Portland.
Dr. Ernie has practiced dentistry for 34 years and has been an associate in several practices over the years while building his own practice in Beaverton and Aloha. He also had a satellite office in Vernonia for nearly 12 years during those start up years. He recently sold his general practice in Aloha of Family and Cosmetic dentistry so he will have more time with family and his lovely wife, Jennifer. He is excited to be able to work a few days with his son, Jared, in his thriving and ever growing practice.
Dr. Ernie is the proud father of five children and eleven grandchildren and enjoys spending time with the family, hiking, golf, dutch oven cooking, and camping in the great northwest.

HobbiesSpending time with family, golf, flying, working in the yard, hiking, camping, dutch oven cooking. “Dentistry has become more than just a career for me after the past 34 years of practice, it has become a lifelong educational opportunity to learn more ways to help my patients improve their life and their appearance with their smile. I am now in a position after having sold my dental practice to a younger practictioner, that I can put the business side of dentistry aside and focus all my efforts on the needs of each and every patient.” |
